Contact

Our phone number, a contact form or our eMail address can be found on the following contact site.

Introduction

The protection of your personal data is very important to us. Therefore we process your data exclusively on the basis of the legal regulations (DSGVO, TKG 2003). In this privacy policy we inform you about the most important aspects of data processing within our website.

Cookies

Our website uses so-called cookies. These are small text files, which are often required for the operation of a modern website. They are automatically stored by your browser without our intervention on your device. They do not harm. We use cookies to make our offer user-friendly and to carry out analyzes (see web analytics in the next section). Some cookies remain stored on your device until you delete them. They allow us to recognize your browser on your next visit.

If you have an account on this website and you sign up, we will set a temporary cookie to see if your browser accepts cookies at all. This is a common practice method, but we mention here that this happens.

When you edit or publish an article or post, an additional cookie is saved in your browser. This cookie contains no personal information and only refers to the post identifier of the item you have just edited. The cookie expires after one day.

The social media buttons in the footer of the web page merely refer to our profiles, but please note that you will be redirected to third parties as soon as you click on a link.

Your potential countermeasure

If you do not want this, you can set up your browser so that either it informs you about the setting of cookies or you can even allow specific cookies only in individual cases. Some browsers may offer automation, where you can enable them to delete certain cookies when you exit the browser or leave the app. Many browsers even have a built-in tracking and cookie blocker or offer the possibility to extend them with a corresponding plugin. We understand your decision to block certain cookies, if necessary but it may come to restrictions on our website.

Web analytics

Our website uses a free plugin, for which the source code is open, to determine the number of visitors and to be able to generate some statistics. We do NOT use 3rd party web analytics services like Google, Facebook, etc., because we DO NOT outsource the data of our customers and website visitors, and these companies are very insensitive how they handle data and what the do with it. This is not our motto! We stand for transparency. The source of the plugin can be viewed on GibHub as follows: https://github.com/wp-statistics/wp-statistics. This gives you complete control over what data is stored, where and how. The data remains in our house in a database. The documentation of this plugin can be found here: http://wp-statistics.com/category/documentation/. The data older than six months get deleted automatically. The plugin fetches data from Maxmind into our database to debunk dubious online behavior (https://www.maxmind.com/en/home) and from Matomo for blacklistings (https://github.com/matomo-org/referrer-spam-blacklist). Your data will not be passed on to third parties.

What is recorded?

Your IP address is captured but immediately pseudonymized (in the form of a hash). As a result, only a rough localization is possible. Data processing is based on the statutory provisions of § 96 (3) TKG and art 6 para 1 lit a (consent) and/ or f (legitimate interest) of the GDPR. Our concern within the meaning of the laws of the GDPRs (legitimate interest) are the improvement of our offers and our website itself. As the privacy of our users is important to us, the user data is pseudonymized as mentioned before. The user data is kept for a period of six months.

Newsletter

If we are in business contact with you, you will receive a newsletter from us. You have the option to unsubscribe from our newsletter at any time.

Please send your cancellation to the following e-mail address: info@conteco.gmbh

or use the corresponding “unsubscribe from newsletter” link on the newsletter directly. We will immediately delete your data in connection with the newsletter dispatch. Furthermore, you have the opportunity to subscribe to our newsletter at any time again. For this, we need your e-mail address and your declaration that you agree with the subscription to the newsletter. Once you have subscribed to the newsletter, we will send you a confirmation email with a link to confirm your registration.

Comments

If visitors write comments on the website, we collect the data displayed in the comment form, as well as the visitor’s IP address, which is then transformed into a so-called anonymous hash, and the user-agent string (thus the browser is identified) to support the detection of spam and to reduce it.

Media

If you are a registered user and upload photos or pictures to this website (such as a profile picture), you should avoid uploading photos with an EXIF GPS location. Because here you can identify where a photo was shot geographically. Visitors to this site may be able to download photos stored on this site and extract their location information. Even if this is already a bit far-fetched. We assume no responsibility if you do not clean up the EXIF data.

Any other files, such as PDFs, may as well include information about the author and may conclude to further unwanted details. We ask you to clean up the profile settings in the PDF (sometimes also referred to as properties or file properties).

Unfortunately, it is not always possible to live without giants like Google or others. Therefore sadly, we use a service from Google too, but only the map for directions to our headquarters in the contact form. Otherwise, we will distance ourselves completely from them.

Embedded content from other websites

Contributions to this site may include embedded content (such as videos, pictures, posts, etc.) that you or other users of this site have linked to. These contents of other websites behave exactly as if the visitor had visited the page itself. The pages not operated by us may collect data about you, use cookies, use additional third-party tracking services, and record your interaction with such interlaced content, including your interaction with the embedded content itself if you have an account and logged in on this website. This is generally standard in linked systems like the internet, but we thought it’s worth mentioning it. Please contact us for if you discover unwanted content.

How long do we save your data?

If you write a comment or write an article or post, it will be stored indefinitely including metadata. That way, we can automatically detect and approve comments instead of keeping them in a moderation queue.

For users who register on our website, we also store the personal information you provide in their user profiles. All users can view, modify or delete their personal information at any time (the username can not be changed).
Conteco e.U. has the possibility to view this information as well or even change your personal profile if you wish to. We reserve the right to warn you in case of misuse and if necessary to delete your account. In this case Conteco e.U. decides individually if comments are also deleted.

Please read the section web analysis above to get an idea about storage times too.

Data about the invoice run and the legally required bookkeeping are stored for seven years because this concerns the legal duty to keep records and the proof obligation.

Any further data will be deleted immediately after the contract or order has ended as soon as the B2B or B2C relationship ends.

If you contact us by means of a form on the website or by e-mail, your data will be stored with us for six months to process the request and in case of follow-up questions. We will NOT share this information without your consent.

Likewise, all other data within the meaning of the GDPR are deleted after a maximum of six months.

Your rights

You have the rights to information, rectification, deletion, restriction, data portability, revocation and opposition. If you feel that the processing of your data is against the data protection law feel free to contact the Austrian Data Protection Authority.

It is your right to get an export of your personal data, including all data that you have given us. In addition, you may request the deletion of all personal data that we have saved from you. This does not include the
data that we receive due to administrative, legal or
must store safety-relevant needs.

Data security is not a mystery, because you have the opportunity to obtain information from a lawyer, the data protection authority or read online about the laws, standards and regulations.

Please contact us if there are any discrepancies

We try hard to be fair and transparent, but should you notice a little something, we ask you for contact before you seek assistance from external parties.

Thank you for your fairness!
